First Canning Experience!

A few friends and I decided to venture into the world of preserving food via canning. In hindsight, we were overly ambitious, and I will always remember that epic day where we canned WAY too many things for have 5 novices! We did the pressure cooker method, which is safe for canning veggies, meat, poultry, and seafood. It was an intense labor of love, but by the end of the day we had canned heirloom tomatoes, peaches and blackberries, and had made blueberry jam and peach jam. I took a million pics because the process was so interesting to me. And now I am awaiting my new canning pot so I can continue making jam and start learning how to pickle things (for the ultimate bloody mary of course!)

Can't wait for my next preserving adventure, hoping it will be soon!
